Now for the Fun!!  I absolutely love cooking!  So here is a breakdown of our eating habits!

What we do:

Mom: Vegan, plant based and half raw.

Sweets: Raw, organic, local honey, and 100% maple syrup.
Oils: unrefined organic, our favorites are coconut, peanut, sunflower, and olive!
Flour: 100% whole wheat organic
Drinks: Water, whole milk for the kiddos, and hemp milk for the momma
Treats: Berry smoothies, frozen blueberries, air popped popcorn, and whole wheat homemade tortillas slathered with cinnamon, honey and warm berries.
Portions: Our meals are centered around fresh produce and whole grains, if meat is served for the boys it is a side portion rather than the main aspect.

Additionally I make a weekly loaf of vegan homemade bread, and a batch of vegan bagels.  Ocassionally for a treat I make homemade wheat thins, scones, or buiscits.

I recently made a decision to stop buying juice.  It is expensive, and not needed in the children's daily routine.  Juice will be used as a treat!

Oh and this is a fun tip for dinner!  I always cook and serve the kiddos their vegetable prior to serving anything else.  They tend to eat a larger portion of veggies than anything else when served this way!

What we Don't:

No granular sugar
No refined oils
No white flour or rice
Limit packaged premade food to only whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and an awesome whole wheat cinnamon cereal I just found!  It is by Barbars!
No GMO foods
No artificial anything

And for Mom: No animal products of any kind.

Now remember! We are not perfect!  The boys occassionally have fast food.  And I will occasionally eat an animal product.  This is our guide, our exploration into the world of mindful living.
